Prepare a Notion database for syncing

Configure compatible title, completion, and due-date properties.

Compatible properties

  • Name: a Title property used for the task title
  • Status: a Status property with states named To Do and Done
  • Due: a Date property; individual tasks may leave it blank

Recommended test records

  1. Create one open task with no due date.
  2. Create one open task with a due date.
  3. Create one completed task.
  4. Run the first sync and confirm all three in the paired list.
  5. Edit each field once from both applications.

Schema changes

Renaming, deleting, or changing the type of a required property can interrupt an active sync. Pause or review the sync group before restructuring a connected database.
